Border Seekers is open to all amateur and professional photographers worldwide for a chance to be part of the 12 best photographs of the year. See eligibility restrictions below.

Overview

We present the second edition of the Border Seekers Awards, an annual selection of the best 12 photographs of the photographers of our community.

We encourage you to participate in this selection and be part of Frontiers history among outstanding photographers, it is time for your talent and creativity to have a space of recognition.

[GENERAL INFORMATION]

A_The images submitted must be original and authored by the participant.

B_Each photographer can submit a maximum of 2 images per application, each of these images must have the corresponding details requested in the "technical specifications" section.

C_Frontiers will only publish images that are approved by the magazine's creative team for the Border Seekers 2023 issue, images that do not qualify for the Border Seekers 2023 issue will be used as posts on the Instagram platform during the year 2024.

D_All the pieces and images that are requested to photographers always go with their respective credits and rights to the author.

E_This edition of the magazine is not a contest, there is no ranking of winners or a compensation for participating, this edition aims to highlight the talent of the photographers through the promotion of their talent and photographic concept.

F_Participation in this edition implies the acceptance of each and every one of its rules. The organisation is absolved from resolving any contingency not stipulated in the rules.

[SUBMISSION PERIOD]

The Border Seekers 2023 edition begins at 12:00 am North American Pacific Standard Time (PST) on December 1, 2023 and closes at 11:59 pm North American Pacific Standard Time (PST) on January 5, 2024.

[FINALISTS]

The finalist photographs that will be included in the official publication of the BORDER SEEKERS 2023 edition will be announced on 8 January 2024 via email.

[TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS]

Photo(s) must be submitted in high resolution JPEG/PNG format (300 dpi).
Information about the model of the camera (optional)
Name of the author of the picture
Title of the picture.
Date of capture.
A brief description about the scene of the picture.

[I] Entrants retain ownership and all other rights to submitted photographs subject to the following:

By entering the Borders Seekers 2023 edition, each Entrant grants to the FRONTIERS MAGAZINE a non-exclusive, irrevocable license to reproduce, publish, and display submitted images directly relating to the Borders Seekers 2023 edition in all media throughout the world in perpetuity. This includes but is not limited to use in the context of the FRONTIERS MAGAZINE website and social media sites, the exhibition of the finalist images* at the FRONTIERS MAGAZINE, and all promotional and marketing materials regarding the Borders Seekers 2023. In other circumstances, commercial opportunities may exist for awarded photographers to benefit from the use of their images, such as print sales or merchandise. Where such a commercial benefit is likely to arise, permission will be sought in advance and terms and conditions will be agreed upon with the photographer.
